Artist Diane Burrow, winner of the Ribble Valley Art Studios Open exhibition 2013 is preparing to previewing her solo exhibition there.
Featuring her winning entry “George in a Domestic Setting II” the show, prevewing at Friday March 21st at 6.30 pm, gives visitors the opportunity to view her intimate family and self -portraits as well as her figurative work from the life model.
Diane said: “This exhibition is the realisation of a long-standing ambition of mine and a wonderful opening to showcase my paintings and drawings.
“I’ve always kept my hand in over the years by attending art evening classes but really welcomed the chance to undertake professional training when my daughter also started university.
“I’m very much looking forward to continuing my studio practice after graduation.”
Diane is currently in her final year of studies on the Fine Art degree programme at Blackburn College, and is working towards a series of self-portraits for the undergraduate degree show.
The solo exhibition was part of Diane’s prize as winner of the 2013 RVAS Open Art Exhibition.

Diane’s exhibition runs until the end of April and fits into a wider programme of events, classes and workshops hosted by the studios, in Harris Court off Wellgate. which open for visitors on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
