The Plate @ Backridge café and bistro, based at Backridge Farm, Waddington, has received a coveted Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence award.

The accolade, which honours excellence in hospitality, is given only to establishments who consistently achieve excellent traveller reviews on Trip Advisor and is extended to qualifying businesses worldwide.

Only the top performing 10% of businesses listed on the website receive the prestigious award. They must maintain an overall rating of four or higher out of a possible five from reviewers on the site and must have been listed on it for a minimum of 12 months.

Backridge Farm owner Richard Drinkall commented: “We are delighted to receive this award. To be placed in the top 10% of businesses by our customers who use this well renowned site is a complete honour.

“We work together as a team to give our customers truly excellent service and serve the highest quality food.

“We strive to ensure their time with us is a really memorable experience.”

Alison Copus, vice-president of marketing for Trip Advisor Business, said: “TripAdvisor is delighted to celebrate the success of businesses around the globe who consistently offer Trip Advisor travellers a great customer experience.

“The Certificate of Excellence award provides top performing establishments with the recognition that they deserve, based on feedback from those who matter the most – their customers.”
