Ths first of 19 lodges is on site at the new Ribble Valley View holiday park at Old Langho, a venture by four members of a local farming family.
Philip Simpson, pictured outside the lodge, together with brother Robert, sister Helen Sharples and cousin Ian Simpson, are co-directors developing the park with support from Defra’s Rural Development programme. The first phase will be six lodges, with a further 13 scheduled for later this year. The lodges start at under £80,000, and the park’s unique selling point is its 12-month holiday licence which means it is open all year round for people to visit their holiday home at any time of the year.
Robert said: “The park looks fantastic. Construction came in on schedule and budget and it is great to see the fruition of over two years’ hard work and planning.”
Helen added: “We are thrilled with the development of the park infrastructure in getting where we are today and look forward to people being able to enjoy our holiday lodge park in the heart of the stunning Ribble Valley.”
