While last Saturday was the turn of town centre traders to put on a Christmas show, this Staurday it’s the turn of cabin and stall holders at Clitheroe Market.
They have arranged for a strolling Santa to come and visit.
The Salvation Army band will play carols in the morning, while Phil Knight Senior and invited musicians will take up the tune in the afternoon. There’ll also be a raffle, tombola and a guess the weight of a giant game pie competition as part of the entertainment.
If all that makes you hungry, there’s a festive menu of hog roast, roasted chestnuts and mulled wine.
As well as a fun day, proceeds are all going to charity. The Market Traders’ Club has chosen to support the Rosemere Cancer Foundation, which works to improve cancer care for local patients at their local hospital and specialist centres throughout Lancashire and South Cumbria.
