Three times British ski champion and Great Britain athlete Chris Stewart has opened the doors on his new strength and conditioning facility Leading Physique, in Barrow.
The new facility specialises in improving individual health and performance levels, sport rehabilitation and children’s fitness.
Chris (25) took up skiing aged two, before starting racing at 10, when he joined Pendle Ski Club. The first of his British Championship wins came in 2010, followed by successes in 2012 and 2013.
After retiring from the sport, he has been working on setting up his business, having worked with England’s women’s rugby league team, GB skiers and national and international distance runners to gain experience.
Chris commented: “I’m really looking forward to working with people to train and improve their overall health and fitness. We’ll be tailoring training around each individual to maximise their potential.
“I’m proud of what I achieved in my skiing career and I’m hoping the business will be a big success. If everything goes well, I’ll hopefully be able to start employing people and even expand out of Barrow.”
