The Visit England Awards for Excellence 2014 yielded success for The Parkers Arms, Newton-in-Bowland, and Bleasdale Holiday Cottages, Forest of Bowland (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty).

The Parkers Arms picked up silver in the Taste of England section of the awards, held at Cheltenham Race Course.

Ruth Connor, Chief Executive of Marketing Lancashire said: “We are proud of our Lancashire businesses and their achievements nationally.

“Their win at the highest industry level reminds everyone of the quality and variety of produce available in the county and the reasons we continue to see such a growth in visitors to the county.”
