A dinner for two at the Michelin-starred Northcote, Langho, will be up for grabs at Clitheroe Chamber of Trade’s charity ball.
Northcote head chef Lisa Allen and joint managing director and celebrity chef Nigel Haworth were first to respond to the chamber’s request for auction lots and prizes for the big annual event.
They were followed by Clitheroe town mayor,Coun. Kevin Horkin, who has offered a pair of designer sunglasses.
Chamber executive member Katie Winstanley and sister Sam are contacting businesses, offices, shops and salons seeking pledges of goods and services.
Katie said: “We’ve only just started to contact people and we hope we’ll get a good response.”
The ball is being held at the Stirk House Hotel, Gisburn, on Saturday, March 8th, and the star performers will be Manhattan, one of the North’s top function bands.
About 150 of the £32 tickets have been sold already, and proceeds will go to the East Lancashire veterans’ aid charity Salute and Pendle Dogs in Need.
Anyone wishing to offer an auction lot or prize should contact Megabites of Cumbria, 3 Moor Lane, tel. 01200 444133.
