Clitheroe’s ninth annual beer festival was widely judged to be the best yet, with crowds flocking from across the region to enjoy the wide range of real ales on offer.

Held at the St Mary’s Centre, in Church Brow, the festival was jointly organised by the centre and the East Lancashire Branch of CAMRA, the Campaign for Real Ale. This year it was officially opened by Steve and Christine Dilworth, landlords of the Swan With Two Necks at Pendleton, which earlier this year won the national CAMRA Pub of the Year title.
