A gift of two assembly machines by the 3M manufacturing site at Clitheroe will be helping apprentices across the North West to learn the tools of their trade.

The machines have been donated to training association Training 2000, and will enable engineering apprentices to develop their knowledge and problem-solving skills on the mechanical maintenance of the machines.

They were no longer being used by 3M, the diversified technology company who have a strong association with Training 2000. Those joining the company’s successful apprenticeship scheme receive a combination of theoretical and work-based learning.
