There was a sweet aroma in the air on Friday at a Clitheroe kitchen design studio as students showed off their baking skills at a pre-Christmas event.

Blackburn College students got into the festive spirit and showed off their baking expertise in the In-toto Ribble Valley kitchens on Parson Lane.

Festive treats, mulled wine and Christmas tunes filled the shop.

Clitheroe husband and wife team Simon and Jane Miller opened the design studio earlier this year. They already have a studio in Southport.

Jane said: “We wanted to do something to support young students and up and coming chefs so we were really happy to work with Blackburn College as we know it has a really fantastic catering department.”
