PHASE Two of a cutting edge and eco-friendly office development in Clitheroe was officially opened by Ribble Valley MP Nigel Evans.

Primrose Studios, in Primrose Road, offers high-spec and flexible office accommodation on short and long-term leases, encouraging start-up businesses and other entrepreneurial activity.

Concern for the environment has featured highly in the design of the studios, enabling them to be run as efficiently as possible. Air circulation and 85% heat efficiency exchange units have been installed, all lighting is low-energy LED and all the energy used is from “green” sources, including the development’s own solar panels. High levels of insulation and the latest double glazed windows allows a very small carbon footprint.

Officially opening the development, Mr Evans, who is also Deputy Speaker of the House of Commons, said he was extremely immpressed, not only with the building but with the work being done to encourage and foster commercial activity in the best possible setting.

All the offices at Primrose Studios include parking, shower and kitchen facilities, fob security access and fire detectors, with tenants also able to access full boardroom and smaller meeting room facilities as and when needed.
