The winning team at the Freemasons at Wiswell struck gold at the VisitEngland “Awards for Excellence” ceremony, held at The Sage, Gateshead. Their gold award in the Tourism Pub category is the highest possible from VisitEngland can bestow.

Steven Smith, chef proprietor, said; “We’re absolutely over the moon to have won this award. We pride ourselves on providing our customers with a really unforgettable experience when they come to visit us, which starts the minute they drive into the village. To win gold against such strong competition is a real honour and we’re delighted to put both Wiswell and The Freemasons on the map!”
