Double celebration as hotel takes two tourism titles

The team at Northcote, Langho, won two top titles – best small hotel and best luxury experience – in the annual Lancashire Tourism Awards, presented by TV personality John Sargeant (second left) at Blackpool Tower Ballroom.

Other Ribble Valley businesses that triumphed were the Parkers Arms, Newton-in-Bowland (Taste Lancashire award) and the Freemasons Arms, Wiswell (Tourism Pub award).

Finalists included the The Spread Eagle, Sawley (B&B); Ribblesdale Park, Gisburn (holiday parks); Millstone Hotel, Mellor and Stirk House, Gisburn (small hotels); Browsholme Hall and Tithe Barn, Gibbon Bridge Hotel, Mitton Hall (wedding venues); Assheton Arms, Downham and La Locanda, Gisburn(Taste Lancashire); Maureen Cookson, Whalley (retail experience); Mrs Dowsons, Clayton-le-Dale (small visitor attraction); Browsholme Hall (cultural venue); Browsholme Hall, Stirk House (sustainable tourism).
