Death of Clitheroe electrical contractor (51)

the funeral of Clitheroe electrical contractor Mr Mark Webb, who died suddenly aged 51, took place yesterday at St Peter and St Paul’s Church, Bolton-by-Bowland.

Mr Webb, a former student at St Augustine’s RC High School, Billington, and ex-student of Blackburn College, founded his own company after serving his apprenticeship at Cobble, Blackburn.

He began in a small unit at Enterprise Works, Clitheroe, in 1982, and as he expanded the business, Mark Webb Electrical, he moved to Lincoln Way on Salthill Industrial Estate .Police were called when he was found dead at his home in Clitheroe. It was discovered that he had died of heart failure and no inquest is to be held.

Mr Webb, a divorcee, is survived by his parents, Rita and David Webb, of Sawley, children Nik and Josephine, sister Dawn and brother-in-law Michael, and nieces Sophie and Olivia.
