Clitheroe Market Traders’ Club has welcomed the success of the recent Continental and artisan market held in the town.
Staged in conjunction with Ribble Valley Borough Council, it was held for three days on the car park adjoining the main market site.
Although Thursday was a slow start, mainly due to poor weather, Friday and Saturday more than made up for it, with large crowds enjoying the sunshine and the excellent selection of sweets, savouries and hot foods.
Peter Gainsley, of the market traders’ club, commented: “Following the success of this event we hope to organise a further Continental and artisan market with a seasonal element towards late September or early October.
“Watch this space for details, and don’t forget our famous Clitheroe Food Festival, which is being held on Saturday, August 9th.”
