Local candle company, Melt has some new fans of its products – none other than the “X Factor” judges!

Having been contacted by Talk Back Thames, the production company behind the popular ITV show, Melt’s owner Cheryl Hook was happy to send some of her most popular fragranced candles and subsequently received a big thumbs up from the show’s judges – with Gary Barlow reportedly taking the candles home with him. Cheryl explained: “We had a call out of the blue, asking if we would like to supply some candles for the judges and presenters dressing rooms and the green room at the audition locations.

“We sent a selection of feminine and masculine fragrances a couple of weeks ago, to the Birmingham auditions, and we now have some on their way to Glasgow.

“We’ll be keeping our eyes peeled in case there’s any green room footage when the new series starts, but we just hope that getting our brand in front of some of the UK’s top celebrities may result in them becoming Melt fans and maybe even regular customers!”
