Keen runner and mum-of-three Claire Pallister is the latest £50 winner in the Shop Clitheroe loyalty scheme, which is approaching its first anniversary with an extra-special draw.
Claire, born and brought up in Clitheroe, is a regular customer at Alpe’s Butchers and Clitheroe Beauty Centre. She works part-time at Waddington and West Bradford Primary School.
Husband Richard is a surveyor with his father in their chartered surveyors and agricultural specialists practice, in Duck Street, Clitheroe. They have three sons, William, James and Oliver, who attend Bowland High School.
Claire, who visits the gym several times a week, said: “I will treat myself to a facial and a perhaps an eyebrow tint as well.”
The Shop Clitheroe scheme is run by Clitheroe Chamber of Trade and Commerce, and promoted by the Clitheroe Advertiser and Times.
Sarah O’Callaghan, of Clitheroe Beauty Centre, said: “Our customers love the Shop Clitheroe card.
“It has really helped to keep peoples’ spending potential within town, with very little cost to each business involved.
“As there are now 80 participating companies, the scheme is still growing.
“With just three weeks to the anniversary superdraw, everyone should be getting their card stamped every time they spend £5.”
The Superdraw will be on the day of the Clitheroe Food Festival, August 10th, when all the filled cards from the last 12 months will be eligible to win prizes that include a 12-month long-stay car park pass, a luxury food hamper and an extra prize of Shop Clitheroe Vouchers, in addition to the usual £50 prize draw.
