A CHARITY that provides transport to the elderly, disabled and rurally isolated has been successful in securing £2,500 worth of funding from Adactus Housing Association’s Neighbourhood Fund.
Little Green Bus is a small charity based in the Ribble Valley which provides door-to-door transport and other support services to the elderly, disabled and rurally isolated people.
The money will allow the charity to transport service users to local village halls where a series of activities will be on offer to re-engage users in society and access vital information and support.
Lindsay Greenhalgh, neighbourhood development officer at Adactus, said: “It is fantastic that we have been able to support this worthy cause. Little Green Bus provides a vital service that without it could see the most vulnerable people further isolated.
“The money is available because of efficiency savings we have made as a group and we have been able to support and deliver exciting projects. We will look forward to supporting further projects in the future.”
