ACCOUNTANT Judith Dugdale has been named as one of the industry’s brightest prospects by winning a top award.

Judith (34), from Waddington, received the Rising Star award at the 2012 North West Society of Chartered Accountants (NWSCA).

A corporate services director at the Preston office of accountancy firm Moore and Smalley, Judith specialises in advising businesses from the leisure and tourism sector, in particular hotels. She also heads up a dedicated team that advises small businesses.

Moore and Smalley’s managing partner, David Ingram, said: “Judith has achieved an exceptional amount in her career to date.

“She is very well liked by clients and respected by her colleagues. We’re all proud that she has been recognised by our professional body.”

Judith joined Moore and Smalley in 2000 as a graduate and became a fully qualified chartered accountant in 2003.

She was voted the Young Trainee Accountant of the Year by the NWSCA in 2006.

In her spare time, Judith, a mother of one, also plays hockey for Clitheroe Ladies first team.

She received the title in front of 300 guests at the NWSCA annual awards at Blackpool, hosted by former running star Roger Black OBE.
