RUDOLPH and his pals had the day off when a local bus company delivered a very special passenger to a Ribble Valley-based children’s charity.

Child Action Northwest staged a Christmas pop-in at their Wilpshire headquarters, the original Blackburn Orphanage building, for visitors to call in with a gift or a donation for a child.

Santa Claus swapped his reindeer-powered sleigh for a Moving People bus with a scheduled artificial snowfall created with a snow machine provided by Pendle Productions theatre company.

Harriet Roberts, Creative Partnerships Manager at CANW, said: “It was a magical moment to see Santa aboard the bus arriving in the flurry of snow. We were overwhelmed by the generosity of visitors and the children loved climbing aboard the coach to meet Santa.”
