Burnley’s first indoor archery centre is on target to be a great success according to its owner.
Phoenix Archery, based in Hambergham Mill, Coal Clough Lane, opened recently to cater for beginners and experts from around the region.
And American owner Louise Cousins, who is running the centre with partner Mark Duerden, said the interest had exceeded their expectations.
She said: “Our opening day was very well-attended and we have had a lot of interest since then.
“We have had young and old, girls and boy, come along which is great. Many are from the Burnley area but we have also had people travel from Blackburn and Manchester.”
The centre incorporates a 25m. advanced range and a 10m. beginners’ range, and also takes bookings for parties and corporate events.
