Visitors, including past brides, enjoyed viewing a selection of stunning wedding dresses from throughout the decades at an exhibition at All Saints Church, Pendleton.
Wedding photographs and albums were also on display and the flowers, arranged by Sue Nelson, complemented the occasion beautifully.
Those present commented on how every dress was individual and unique and noted how the white gowns channelled the light brought into the church.
The event raised £415 for the church and was organised by organist June Brewer with help from other church members.
June who herself was born, christened and married in the village said: “I am delighted with the way the display came together and want to thank everyone involved for their help and for loaning their special dress for the day.
“Thanks also to Amelia’s Bridal Boutique, Orchid Designs and Cakes by Vanilla for the loan of models and props. It has been a special day and a wonderful way to celebrate our village weddings.”
