People in Valley’s rural communities are being asked to be on their guard of a man trying to sell kitchen utensils.

The warning, issued by PC Tony Walsh, of Clitheroe Police, comes after reports of a man, described as white, of medium build, about 5ft 6ins. tall, dark skinned with black hair, wearing a dark blue jacket and trousers, and with a “Dutch” accent, acting suspiciously in the Gisburn Road area of Bolton-by-Bowland.

He visited a farm trying to sell the utensils and then drove off in a black VW Passat towards Bolton-by-Bowland.

If you see the vehicle or the man call 101 quoting log 830.
