St Paul’s Beavers and Cubs are working towards their Friendship and Community Challenge badges, one element of which is to organise raising funds for a good cause.

The cause they chose is the UNICEF Emergency Fund to raise funds to help children like themselves living in terrible circumstances. After learning about children orphaned by Ebola in Africa and robbed of their homes, schools and possessions by earthquakes in Nepal, they made sweets to raise money at church parade service in St Paul’s Church, Low Moor, and raised a total of £55.
