The offence took place between 7-30 and 8 p.m. on Wednesday (July 25th) when the owner had briefly left it unattended when he went to find petrol after running out.

The red Ducati 1198 motorcycle was parked on Clitheroe Road, off the A59 and police are appealing to anybody who witnessed it being taken or who is aware of its whereabouts to come forward.

Sgt Peter Moore said: “We believe that the motorbike has probably been taken by somebody using a van or similar. Anyone with any information should call Lancashire Police on 101.”
