Pupils donned Mexican dress and ate authentic Mexican dishes to complement their studies of the Aztecs.

To enrich their studies classes Chestnut and Birch whose pupils have been studying the Aztecs during this half term held a Mexican Food Tasting Day.

Children were encouraged to come to school dressed as Mexicans and tried various Mexican dishes.

The food was prepared and cooked in the school kitchen by Mr Wood, a trained chef and the parent of one of the school’s pupils. He cooked a selection of fajitas, burritos, churros and other tasty treats which the children thoroughly enjoyed, especially the chocolate sauce which was served with the churros.
