Members of Clitheroe Pop Choir fund-raising for Child Action North West

Clitheroe Pop Choir have been raising their voices and funds to support Ribble Valley-based children’s charity Child Action Northwest.

The choir, run by Susan and Duncan Sykora, raised more than £130 by performing on Clitheroe Market at Christmas and through a raffle at a glam rock night held in December last year.

Harriet Roberts, of Child Action Northwest, commented: “As well as raising money for us, the choir members responded to an appeal by providing a huge pile of recycled gifts for our Mother’s Day appeal so that we could provide presents to our young carers to give to their own mums.”

The Pop Choir will be collecting for Child Action Northwest again when they perform at Clitheroe Market’s Easter Saturday market around noon.
