WITH witches, ghouls and ghosties on the prowl for Hallowe’en, it was hardly surprising an ugly goblin tried to get in on the act when ghost walker Simon Entwistle was being photographed in a graveyard.

Simon, of Top Hat Tours, was called in by Clitheroe Chamber of Trade and Commerce to draw this month’s winner of the Shop Clitheroe loyalty card.

The winner gets £50 of vouchers to spend at participating businesses ... and that’s no myth.

Simon is famous for leading ghost walks in many towns in the North West and as darkness descends he dons his top hat and black cape and takes to the streets of these mysterious locations in search of ghosts, myths and the creepiest legends.

He also conducts heritage tours and is well known for his television appearances.

Tours are by arrangement with Simon, except for the Clitheroe Ghost Walk, which takes place every Friday at 7.30pm, starting at the Rose and Crown in Castle Street.

Simon was making the third monthly draw of the Shop Clitheroe card, and the winner he picked at random will be revealed by the Clitheroe Advertiser and Times, who promote the initiative, in next week’s edition.

Anyone wishing to join the Shop Clitheroe scheme can pick up an application form from any of the 70 participating businesses.
