CRAFTS: Pendle Potters’ work on display

A GROUP of potters who are learning their art put their best pieces on display at the Platform Gallery, Clitheroe.

Pendle Potters, a 30-strong group from Ribble Valley and other parts of East Lancashire, are studying with Lizi Botham in classes at her workshop at Higher Trapp, Simonstone.

They were asked to sumbit three items each, to go on display for a week in the group’s second annual exhibition at The Platform.

Lizi said: “We had a brilliant reponse from the public. Visitors commented that that the standard was higher the last year’s, and some couldn’t believe the exhibitors weren’t professionals.”

Crafts on display at Platform Gallery

The Platform Gallery craft open exhibition is now in full swing, with 130 exhibits by 70 artists from across the North West. Work on show includes furniture, ceramics, wood, glass, jewellery and all types of textiles.
