visitors to today’s Clitheroe Food Festival will be able to sample a very bewitching pie!

For the famous Malkin Pie, created by Keith and Christine Turner of Sanwitches in Sabden, will be available to sample between 11 a.m. and 12-30 p.m. in the bullring on Clitheroe Market.

The pie was created by the couple after they delved into folklore to find the exact ingredients eaten by the witches during their final feast four centuries ago.

The pie is packed with beef, lamb, bacon, pulses, herbs and spices, and topped off with a Wicca dumpling lid.
