Gallery calls for exhibitors in all media
CLITHEROE’S Platform Gallery is making its annual call for entries for the much-anticipated Craft Open exhibition.
Makers from across the north west are invited to submit their works to be included in this vibrant and eclectic show. Textiles, pottery, wood and furniture, metalwork, glass, and jewellery all hang side by side in this celebration of the hand-made.
The exhibition, running from May 5th to July 14th, will highlight the wealth of talented craftspeople in Ribble Valley and across the North West of England. There will alsobe a variety of prizes up for grabs, including:
l Selectors’ Prize for Innovation – £100 cash
l Ribble Valley Prize, for Ribble Valley-based exhibitors – £50 cash and showcase exhibition at the Platform Gallery early 2012.
l “People’s Choice” prize with voting throughout the exhibition – £100 Platform Gallery voucher.
Application forms for exhibitors are available from the Platform Gallery or can be downloaded from the website: www.ribblevalley.gov.uk/platformgallery. An entry fee applies and the deadline for entries is March 17th.
