Chipping Village Hall play and activity scheme

A NEW play and activity scheme for children with disabilities and additional needs has been launched.

Designed for children aged between eight and 18, the fun-filled adventure activities are taking place throughout the Ribble Valley and eight have been organised in total.

Government money has been allocated to give families caring for children with disabilities a well-needed short break.

The events are staffed by trained children's entertainers and Crossroads Care staff. Each session has a different theme depending on the needs of the children.

The youngsters enjoy activities, fun and companionship in a safe environment, while the parents can have time with their other siblings or have time for themselves.

Another new venture has been planned for children where Crossroads Care is working in partnership with O.J's - a children's charity to provide "after school clubs". These will be held in Chipping Village Hall.

Anyone requiring more information is urged to contact Crossroads Care on 01200 422104.
