Keeping the kids entertained now school’s out can be a headache – and an expensive one at that. If you’re still thinking of what to do next week, there are events at Clitheroe Castle Museum and Clitheroe Library you might like to check out.
The library has a summer reading challenge running. It’s themed “Creepy House” and, on Tuesday, it’s hosting drop-in creepy craft sessions, which are free and suitable for all ages.
On Wednesday, there’s an opportunity for your little ones to decorate their own ceramic dinosaur at the castle museum. They choose their model and personalise it with paint and pens. Any mess is therefore not yours to clear up! Each session lasts approximately 50 minutes and they run on the hour from 11 am to 3 pm. The cost is just £2.50. To reserve a place, tel. 01200 424568.
Ribblesdale Pool will also have its giant inflatable obstacle course in the water on Friday evening. There two play sessions from 7 to 8 amd 8 to 9 pm. Children pay £2.40 but must be confident swimmers. To book a place, call 01200 424825.
