LETTER: Time to put Clitheroe weather clock right

As the people of Clitheroe will marvel at the slow unveiling of the parish church’s spire, a gleaming gold weather clock has been fixed to the top.

But, alas, was the person who fixed it in place still suffering from the topping out party and I will make an allowance for that.

Or was he/she afraid of stepping back to admire they work, as it is not straight. It leans like the spire did before it was rebuilt.

I hope this is rectified before the scaffolding is taken completely down and they have to ask Fred Dibnah (rest his soul) or someone else to rectify their shoddy workmanship.

ALEXANDER P. KAPP,

Whalley
