LETTER: Public toilets’ ‘spin’ is a load of codswallop

“Facilities will be better, not worse”.

What a load of codswallop Coun. Robert Thompson writes (letters, January 26th), no doubt “council speak”. I invite him and the members of the Community Services Committee to visit Waddington on a Monday or Tuesday morning where they can use the “increased number of facilities available”.

The potential is there, but the three pubs don’t normally open until 11-30 a.m. at the earliest and Country Kitchen is closed both days. Luckily you are entering an area of natural beauty with plenty of trees and bushes available.

Please clean up after yourself, using the bags provided, I’m sure the dog owners will be happy to add their facility to the number available for you to use.

HUGH SEPHTON,

Waddington
