LETTER: Padiham Remembrance service was amazing

I FEEL I must write to pass on my congratulations to the Royal British Legion and Padiham Town Council for what I can only describe as the most moving Remembrance Service I have ever seen!

My father was from Padiham and served in the Merchant Navy and, as we were in the area, we came to pay our respects and how glad we are!

The organisation and attendance was outstanding with every element included, even a wreath-laying horse! Stunned. But oh my, the young girl singer Grace O’Malley. There wasn’t a dry eye to be had. Hauntingly beautiful. Stunning. Well, words fail me! But it made my Remembrance.
