RECRUITMENT DRIVE: Potential new PRMRT recruits take a walk over Pendle. (s)

“THANK YOU” was Pendle and Rossendale Mountain Rescue team’s message to the Clitheroe Advertiser and Times after 16 people showed interest in becoming trainees following our recent appeal for new recruits.

Speaking of their recruitment drive, team member Victoria Wakeman said: “Last Saturday, we introduced our potential trainees to our equipment on an introductory walk around Pendle Hill. 12 team members joined the walk and we talked to the potential recruits informally to allow them to gain an insight into the team and the commitment required to become a team member. Our team leaders were also able to begin assessment of the individuals regarding their suitability to join.”

The trainees will now be interviewed individually over the coming weeks.
