THREE teenagers have appeared in court charged in connection with an alleged baseball bat attack on a man as he slept in his bed.

Marcus Pratt (20), was treated at hospital after the incident at 6 a.m. on Saturday at his home in Bright Street, Clitheroe.

He was allegedly held down by two of his attackers as a third, who was wearing a face mask, hit him repeatedly with a baseball bat. He is also alleged to have been kicked and stamped on.

David Johnson (19), of Meadow View, Daniel Parkinson (18), of Kemple View, both Clitheroe, and a 17-year-old youth who cannot be named for legal reasons, were all committed to Preston Crown Court on a charge of burglary aggravated by the intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

The adults were remanded in custody and the youth was bailed on condition he lives at an address in Kirkham and does not enter Clitheroe.
