STAFF at the Clitheroe Physiotherapy Centre gathered to wish a colleague and friend a happy retirement.
Carol McTear retired after working 25 years for the NHS. In her earlier years, she worked as a physiotherapy assistant at Brockhall Hospital and provided cover at Ribchester Hospital.

For most of her career, she worked at Clitheroe Physiotherapy Centre, in Market Street. She initially worked as a physiotherapy assistant, however, the role evolved into a more clerical position.

Commenting on her commitment, senior physiotherapist Mrs Janet Whittaker said: "Carol has worked extremely hard to ensure the smooth running of the physiotherapy department. She is known to many people locally who came into contact with her through her job.

"Her efforts were much appreciated by the many patients she dealt with over the years. She will be missed by her colleagues and friends at the physiotherapy centre, who wish her and her fiancé, Paul (who also retired at the same time), a long and fulfilling retirement.

"The couple have already spent five weeks visiting the States following their retirement!"
