Lib Dem councillor resigns

ONE of Ribble Valley's longest-serving councillors has resigned.
Liberal Democrat councillor Graham Sowter (65), who represented the Billington and Old Langho ward, resigned his seat on the council earlier this week.

This reason behind his resignation is yet unknown.

A spokesman for Ribble Valley Borough Council confirmed the news and added: "A timetable for a new election in the Billington and Old Langho ward is currently being drawn up."
