CHANGES have been taking place at the Citizens' Advice Bureau, but for anyone in need of help it is "business as usual".
Ribble Valley Citizens' Advice Bureau has reached the end of a lengthy changeover process to become a voluntary sector company limited by guarantee.

"We are now incorporated as a limited company, but remain the same service to Ribble Valley people," said Katy Marshall, who was appointed as manager in January.

"We constantly seek to do more for the community and this modernisation is part of our improvement plan. Lancashire County Council has funded new interview facilities suitable for disabled people. We are now looking for funding to increase our telephone advice and outreach services."

The CAB would be keen to hear from anyone who could offer their time and expertise as a volunteer treasurer for the new company.

"We have the services of the accountancy firm, Gary Cottam Associates, but require the input of a treasurer to oversee the book-keeping and reports to the management board," explained Katy.

She can be contacted on 01200 428998 or by e-mail to: manager@ribblevalleycab.cabnet.org.uk
