TWO Preston penalties condemned Burnley to their fourth successive league defeat.
Top-scorer Martin Paterson and Chris McCann were both fit to face Preston North End.

3 mins - North End win a corner after persistent pressure from Jon Parkin. Sean St Ledger heads over from Paul McKenna's centre after a short corner from Ross Wallace.
6 mins - A big thump up the pitch from Callum Davidson gave Stephen Elliott a race with Steven Caldwell, and Brian Jensen managed to get something on Elliott's attempted lob, with the ball scrambled clear.
7 mins - Clarke Carlisle heads on Graham Alexander's free kick, and Martin Paterson's header is deflected just over for a corner.
9 mins - Steven Thompson flicks on Jensen's goal kick and Joey Gudjonsson pokes the ball wide.
13 mins - North End corner comes to nothing.
17 mins - Parkin heads Wallace's cross straight at the other "Beast", Jensen.
20 mins - Burnley corner from Chris Eagles falls to Chris McCann, whose shot lands at Carlisle, who stabs the ball across goal, and McCann somehow manages to fire over from a couple of yards out.
33 mins - Eagles' corner is headed clear. The ball is recycled and Alexander sends a shot wide with the outside of his right boot.
35 mins - Gudjonsson's half-volley is comfortably saved by Andy Lonergan.
36 mins - Alexander gets behind a shot, but the ball flies wide.
38 mins - Preston corner is headed against Carlisle by Youl Mawene and wide for another corner. It's taken 39 minutes, but Parkin is finally penalised for a foul. Miracles will never cease!
Burnley corner finally falls to Eagles via Alexander and Michael Duff, and his audacious volley almost dips in, only for a fine save Lonergan.
Moments later Gudjonsson also tries his luck, but fires over.

46 mins - McCann drives forward from Paterson's pass and forces a save from a 30-yarder. Eagles' corner is eventually cleared.
49 mins - Another Clarets corner after great work from Eagles. His corner is cleared, and Preston break, with Parkin scuffing a shot hopelessly.
At the other end, Thompson's flick gives Paterson a sight of goal, and his left foot shot is saved.
51 mins - Elliott overruns the ball and is caught by Jensen, and the referee gives a penalty. Davidson steps up and fires inside the corner.
Another harsh decision goes against the Clarets.

74 mins - Great feet from Sedgwick and a terrific ball for Chaplow, whose cross-shot is cleared by Caldwell for a corner. McKenna's kick falls to St Ledger, whose shot is saved.

Blake curls home a quite magnificent free kick to give Burnley a deserved equaliser.
