1 min - Rhys Williams breaks forward but just puts too much weight on his pass for Martin Paterson, who would have been clear on goal.

15 mins - Steven Thompson's pull back is behind Chris McCann, but he recovers to find Graham Alexander, whose superb reverse ball gives Wade Elliott a sight of goal, and his shot stings Julian Speroni's fingers.

17 mins - Anthony Stokes' smart turn loses Paterson, and his curler is turned over by Brian Jensen.

20 mins - Robbie Blake beats Nathaniel Clyne and Christian Kalvenes bursts to the byeline and digs a cross out, McCann heads down, and Paterson swivels and sees his shot saved at the near post.

25 mins - Clint Hill heads over John Oster's corner.

26 mins - From Hill's long punt, Jensen's hesitancy allows Shefki Kuqi in to lift the ball over the prone keeper and in.

34 mins - Oster's corner is cleared to Paul Ifill, and his scuffed shot deflects in off Clarke Carlisle.

Burnley 0, Crystal Palace 2

36 mins - Oster's drive fizzes wide.

39 mins - Robbie Blake's corner is cleared as far as Elliott, whose volley hits the bar, and Carlisle follows up to head home.

Burnley 1, Crystal Palace 2

45 mins - Elliott drives inside, and his left foot shot is spilled by Speroni, but Paterson can't put the rebound on target, and his effort is deflected wide by Jose Fonte.

Half-Time - Burnley 1, Crystal Palace 2

48 mins - Blake curls a free kick over after Williams' superb burst is crudely ended by Claude Davis.

52 mins - Williams fires wide after Speroni's poor punch from Kalvenes'cross.

53 mins - Nick Carle replaces Oster.

59 mins - Neil Danns is booked for a cynical foul on Elliott. Finally the referee clamps down on Palace's niggling and gamesmanship.

61 mins - Jay Rodriguez comes on for Paterson.

63 mins - Fonte brings down Blake from Jensen's clearance, should be a certain red card, but the hopeless Carl Boyeson issues a yellow.

McCann drags the free kick wide, and the crowd are furious.

If there is a foul, it simply has to be a red card. Laughable decision.

67 mins - Alan Lee for Stokes.

69 mins - Chris Eagles for Blake.

72 mins - Joey Gudjonsson for McCann.

73 mins - Shaun Derry volleys onto roof of the net after Carle corner is punched clear by Jensen.

76 mins - Thompson holds the ball up and his centre is cleared to Eagles, whose fierce strike is well stopped by the base of the post by Speroni.

78 mins - Hill is booked for a wild late lunge on Williams.

Eagles heads Alexander's free kick wide of the far post.

80 mins - Alexander's cross is handled, and despite the referee indicating there was no intent, the linesman flags, and Boyeson changes his mind.

Alexander doesn't miss - and he makes sure again, smashing the ball to Speroni's left.

Burnley 2, Crystal Palace 2

88 mins - Kalvenes finds Rodriguez, and he slips a pass to Eagles, who crosses to Thompson, who rolls Hill, turns superbly and smashes home for a brilliant goal.

Burnley 3, Crystal Palace 2

90 mins - Victor Moses for Kuqi.

90+3 mins - Thompson's superb ball finds Rodriguez, whose run beats the off-side trap, and he finishes superbly with the outside of his right foot.
