Burnley: Jensen; Williams, Duff, Caldwell, Kalvenes; Alexander; Eagles, Elliott, McCann, Blake; Paterson. Subs: Penny, McDonald, Gudjonsson, Rodriguez, Thompson.

Charlton Athletic: Elliot; Murty, Holland, Ward, Youga; Soares, Bailey, Spring, Sam; Dickson, Burton. Subs: Randolph, Ambrose, Racon, Basey, Kandol.

3 mins - Williams' cross finds it's way to Chris McCann at the back post, and his shot is deflected over off Graeme Murty.

Burnley start with a high tempo, but sloppiness creeps into their play, with passes going astray.

17 mins - Lloyd Sam clips the ball over Brian Jensen from Deon Burton's knockdown, but his effort lands on the roof of the net.

29 mins - Wade Elliott drives at the heart of the Charlton defence and cuts onto his left foot before firing over - almost a replica of his goal of the season strike against the same opponents last term.

31 mins - Chris Eagles beats Kelly Youga and his cross is picked up by Robbie Blake, who turns the ball back to McCann, whose left-foot strike is well saved by the foot of the post by former Accrington Stanley loan star Rob Elliot.

33 mins - Elliott sends Blake away down the left and picks up his return pass before sending a cross-shot across the face of goal.

34 mins - Williams heads over Blake's corner after the youngster's inviting cross was turned behind by Nicky Bailey.

38 mins - Alexander's quick free kick finds Martin Paterson, who turns and volleys at goal, with Elliot making another fine stop.

40 mins - Blake and Paterson combine, with Paterson drilling a shot that Elliot does well to hold.

41 mins - Chris Dickson bursts pass Steven Caldwell and pulls the ball back behind Burton, but Bailey slides home through Jensen's legs. Charlton are ahead against the run of play.

51 mins - Dickson breaks into the box and sees his shot saved by Jensen.

52 mins - Paterson looks to turn in the box and the ball strikes Youga on the hand, but Richard Beeby says no penalty.

57 mins - Williams, Blake, Paterson and Elliott combine to tee up Alexander, who screws his shot wide.

58 mins - Kevin McDonald for Christian Kalvenes.

63 mins - Steven Thompson replaces Eagles.

70 mins - Tresor Kandol for Dickson.

71 mins - Darren Ward heads wide from Matthew Spring's corner.

75 mins - Kandol is booked for kicking the ball away - presumably thinking he could get away with it as Beeby had allowed Charlton's other time-wasting tactics all afternoon.

76 mins - Blake and Alexander combine down the left, and Alexander's cross is headed across goal by Paterson, with Thompson sliding the ball past Elliot.

80 mins - Elliott's cross is headed towards goal, by Steven Caldwell and cleared off the line by Murty.

84 mins - Blake corner to McDonald, who shoots over.

Joey Gudjonsson for McCann.

Grant Basey for Sam.

90+4 mins - McDonald breaks to the bye-line and pulls the ball across goal for Thompson to poke the ball home for what looks a deserved winner.
