The Clarets suffer their first away defeat in eight, since the 1-0 reverse at Cardiff in early October, thanks to goals from Kaspars Gorkss, Ben Burgess and Claus Jorgensen.

Gorkss hit the only goal of the first half when he headed in Wes Hoolahan's corner from the left midway through the opening period.

And Hoolahan turned provider again just before the hour mark, when his good work fed Claus Jorgensen, and the former Bradford man crossed for Burgess to head home.

Burnley offered little all afternoon, and Blackpool cemented the three points when Jorgensen himself hit a thunderous drive past Gabor Kiraly from the edge of the box.
